FoodTech® Pays de la Loire operates in a genuine high quality food pantry. Indeed, Pays de la Loire is among the leading regions in France for certified quality products and organic farming. In addition, with its 450 km of coastline, it is home to one of the largest shellfish farming areas in France. Beyond its agrifood sector, it ranks 3rd among French regions in terms of agrifood turnover and brings together nearly 800 dynamic and responsible processing companies. It also offers many opportunities for innovation in both animal and plant products. Finally, the foodtech sector benefits from a dynamic and attractive ecosystem that allows start-ups to develop both locally and internationally thanks to adapted infrastructures.

Pays de la Loire region supports innovation in all its forms by working closely with companies. To do this, it encourages the networking of all scientific and technical skills, whether they are generalists or experts (Valorial and Végépolys-Valley clusters, technical centers, research laboratories, technology parks), in order to best connect them to the needs of companies. In the field of foodtech, the Technocampus Alimentation aims to pool the expertise and equipment available in the region, which are sources of competitiveness for companies. The Technocampus dynamic combines a territory-wide action program, the dissemination of the service offer of the players present in the region and a "showcase" building conducive to collaborations. This dynamic has already been successfully deployed in the sectors of composites, the naval industry, marine energy and virtual reality.

FoodTech® Pays de la Loire ecosystem is supported by Technocampus Alimentation, which represents a group of players working to support the region's food companies. It is a real tool to boost innovation and accelerate projects, particularly through cross-fertilization. For the regional agrifood ecosystem, it provides easy access to cutting-edge expertise, opens up the field of possibilities, and creates synergies to design solutions adapted to the needs of companies. In partnership with companies, research and training players, Technocampus Alimentation provides scientific, technical and industrial solutions for healthy, sustainable and responsible food.
