FoodTech® Dijon Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (BFC) is one of the territories that created the FoodTech® France network. This ecosystem brings together 80 startups, 370 companies of all sizes, 36 support structures, 33 research and higher education structures, and a dozen investment structures. Supported by the Vitagora cluster, FoodTech® Dijon Bourgogne-Franche-Comté brings together regional players in the food, agriculture and digital sectors, as well as regional and metropolitan attractiveness, to represent and lead its regional ecosystem.

As the 2nd largest agricultural region in France in terms of value added and world-renowned for its fine wines, the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region offers a favorable environment for businesses and innovation. In addition to being home to a large number of companies, public and private laboratories and higher education centers in the fields of agronomy and food, Dijon has opened the International City of Gastronomy and Wine in spring 2021. Dijon Metropole has also been selected to be one of the 24 winners of the government's "Innovation Territories" project call, with the ambition of becoming, within 10 years, a living demonstrator of a sustainable food system serving as a model for national and international cities.
The FoodTech® Dijon Bourgogne-Franche-Comté ecosystem is powerec by Vitagora. Within this cluster, a team of 30 specialists work on a daily basis to deploy actions to promote innovation and development of agri-food companies, in order to support the emergence of innovative solutions from farm to fork, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and more broadly throughout France and the world.
The actions of FoodTech® Dijon Bourgogne-Franche-Comté allow it to meet its two missions:
- Representation: to promote this ecosystem and its actors in France and internationally
- Support: to identify and activate opportunities to bring together and mobilize the players in the ecosystem.
Its actions, concretely:
- Lead event actions within trade shows in France and abroad,
- Organize attraction events,
- Community management to promote and enhance the success stories of this ecosystem,
- Animate communication tools to identify and relay opportunities to the actors of the ecosystem (funding opportunities, competitions and calls for projects/calls for participation, partner events...)
