In 2016, La French Tech, the French startup movement, launched a variation of its action with thematic networks. It is from this movement that FoodTech® was born, bringing together the most dynamic regional ecosystems working to support entrepreneurial initiatives in the food industry. These ecosystems bring together startups, but also decision-makers, investors, companies of all sizes, higher education, researchers, public authorities, etc. Today, the network is expanding by integrating new territories in order to develop coordinated actions under a national banner and to share the common vision described below.

Today, our food systems are facing major challenges, and new needs and expectations are emerging:
- How to help citizens eat better, while enjoying themselves?
- How to feed the population in 2050 while respecting the planet's resources?
The FoodTech® network promotes and supports the emergence and development of innovative solutions led by entrepreneurs across the entire food value chain. It does this by creating exchanges between startups and other players in the sector working to meet the challenges of food in France and around the world.
